Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Loadout Match (operated by Epiqara LLC) collects and how we use it. We keep data collection deliberately minimal. You can browse the entire site without creating an account or telling us who you are.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit one of our forms — request a firearm, report an issue, or contact us — we store what you enter (a make and model, a description of the problem, or your message) and your email where you provide it, so we can act on it and, where relevant, reply. Email is optional on the request and report forms and required only on the contact form, where it is used solely to respond. Use our contact form any time to have a submission removed.

Browsing & usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps — for security and to keep the site running.

Outbound click events. When you click a “Buy” link, we may record that the click happened (which product, when) so we can understand which recommendations are useful. We do not need or store your name to do this.

Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel's privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and performance monitoring (Speed Insights) to understand anonymous, aggregate traffic and site performance. They set no cookies and don't track you across other sites.

Affiliate links and cookies

Our outbound links to retailers are often affiliate links. When you follow one, the retailer or affiliate network may set a cookie to attribute a resulting purchase to us. That activity is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for more.

How we use information

To operate, secure, and improve the site — and to understand which recommendations help people. We do not sell your personal information, we do not show third-party advertising, and we don't share the email you give us except as needed to run the service.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of reputable providers — including Vercel (hosting, cookieless analytics, and performance monitoring), Supabase (database), and Resend and Fastmail (email). They process data on our behalf to deliver the service.

How long we keep information

We keep things only as long as we need them. Form submissions — a firearm request, an issue report, or a contact message — are kept in our database long enough to act on them and reply, and we remove them on request. Outbound-click events are aggregate and not tied to your identity. Because we don't offer accounts, there's no profile to retain.

How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we handle — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but because we collect so little, there is very little about you for us to expose.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you (in practice, a form submission and any email you included), and to receive a copy of it. We do not sell or share your personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there's nothing to opt out of there, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. You can also manage things yourself: use a browser that blocks cookies or tracking, choose not to click affiliate links, and know that any email you give us is optional and removable on request. If we add optional accounts in the future, any personal details you provide would be covered by an updated version of this policy.

EEA & UK users. If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR. We process your information to operate and secure the site (our legitimate interests) and to reply when you contact us (at your request). As we're based in the United States, the limited data described above is processed in the US. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

Loadout Match is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
