Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This policy explains what information Loadout collects and how we use it. We keep data collection deliberately minimal. You can browse the entire site without creating an account or telling us who you are.
What we collect
Browsing & usage data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps — for security and to keep the site running.
Outbound click events. When you click a “Buy” link, we may record that the click happened (which product, when) so we can understand which recommendations are useful. We do not need or store your name to do this.
Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall traffic patterns in aggregate.
Affiliate links and cookies
Our outbound links to retailers are often affiliate links. When you follow one, the retailer or affiliate network (for example, AvantLink) may set a cookie to attribute a resulting purchase to us. That activity is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. See our affiliate disclosure for more.
How we use information
To operate, secure, and improve the site — and to understand which recommendations help people. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of reputable providers to run Loadout, including our hosting platform (Vercel) and our database/infrastructure provider (Supabase). They process data on our behalf to deliver the service.
Your choices
You can use a browser that blocks cookies or tracking, and you can choose not to click affiliate links. If we add optional accounts in the future, any personal details you provide would be covered by an updated version of this policy.
Children
Loadout is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the site evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Questions? Reach us via the About page.
